About the Fragrance
Parijat
Parijat is often associated with the meeting point of two seasons. This fragrant flower which most abundantly blooms in the springs and autumns can now be enjoyed all year around in its incense form. The Parijat incense, like the flower’s delicate pearly petals with its bright orange center, fills our homes with a dewy, earthy harmony. It carries a strong feminine essence that reminds one of tucked away treasures in heirloom almirahs, the perfume of preciously preserved beauty in the folds of cotton sarees.
The Mother assigned Aspiration as the symbolism for Parijat. She described it as “innumerable, obstinate, repeating itself tirelessly.” This incense carries the seeds of diviner aims, a wish to aspire for all unmanifested progress.
While creating Cottage Incense we draw from the offerings of mother nature. Our incenses are crafted from the pure extracts of herbs, roots, barks and petals. A special Incense Masala is made blending various pure ingredients in specific proportions, and formulas. This Masala is prepared with twenty-five different elements including, star-aniseeds, cloves and talispatra. Our recipes are passed down from past generations, making the Cottage incense sticks inimitable and distinctive from any other Incenses available in the market.
